2009 Free Agency: Patriot Targets

"I want this much money."

What 2009 Free Agents would the Patriots be interested in right now? Here is a look at a few on our shopping list, be sure to add your favorite in the comments below.

Cornerbacks
Nnamdi Asomugha - Oakland's franchise player won't come cheap, but he is the best in the business. He can truly shut down the opponents #1 receiver.

Chris Gamble - This former Buckeye would be a good addition to a defensive backfield that needs some playmakers.

Linebackers
Karlos Dansby - Arizona's linebacker has experience in the 3-4 defense and still has time to grow in our defense.

Channing Crowder - We love this Dolphin for his skills, but his aptitude for learning a defense is reportedly very low. Perhaps we shied away from him in the draft for this reason.

Offensive Line
Mark Columbo - This Cowboy tackle is a nasty son of a gun. He can shut down rush ends and run-blocks well.

We'll be back later to look at some 2009 NFL Draft targets.

Nnamdi Asomugha is a beast. The Patriots would be lucky to get him in free agency. 10 million a year maybe?
