Cubs at Cardinals a couple weeks ago, I have the Cubs -1.5…going into the bottom of the 9th the Cubbies have a 4 – 1 lead. Kerry Wood comes in to close..the guy has been lights out, well with 1 out he gives up a double, followed by a home run. He then gets the next 2 outs for the save, Cubs win 4 – 3, but don’t cover. Arrrrrrr!

How ’bout the Mets playoff game from a few years ago? Guy hits a grand slam in extra innings when the spread was 3 – but being extra innings, only one guy scored. Sorry gamblers, game ended with a 1-run spread, not 4. EGAD!

Three years ago, in Fantasy Football finals and with first prize of $1500 on the line, I am up 1 point with 90 seconds left in the Sunday night game with the benches being the tiebreaker; and my bench is losing. Peyton Manning, who had rushed for 11 yards takes a knee twice to finish with 9 yards rushing, so I lose one point for his 10 yards rushing and finish tied, and then lose because my bench lost.

Had the Oilers +2.5 in the Frank Reich “Greatest Comeback in NFL History” game where the Oilers ended up losing by 3 after being up about 30 points.

louisville vs west virginia 2005 NCAA Tourney. Game somehow goes to overtime messing up the spread for west virginia betters (they weren’t favored). Then, in ot, with the line like 7.5, and louisville up 8, with like 5 secs left. Some wvu guy goes in for an uncontested dunk, and completely misses it, giving louisville the win with the line.
