Patriots Bleed Green

Another ugly night makes us wish there was no such thing as the preseason. There has been talk of having an 18 game regular season, with only two silly season games. At this point, we are all for it. Three things stuck out to us last night during the game.

No Panic at the Disco
After a third performance that wasn’t up to Patriot standards, many fans are starting to panic. Are the Patriots too old? Is the Patriot run over? By looking at the players on the sideline and after the game, there is a high level of confidence being exhibited, and they are not ready to resort to any sort of panicking.

Back that Tom Brady Up
At this point, Matt Cassel and Guttierez are a coin-flip away from being cut. Cassel hasn’t had any shining moments, and Guttierez hasn’t been given the ball in a first-string situation yet. There is no way that O’Connell would clear waivers to make the practice squad, so one Matt is going to be packing his bags soon.

Vanilla Patriots Defense
The Patriots are notorious for not showing their whole playbook before the regular season opens, but they have been beaten physically the last two games. The line has been pushed around, and linebackers aren’t shedding blocks like they did against the Ravens. Fernando Bryant looks like Duane Starks out there and Ellis Hobbs is not quite ready to be the #1.

Fifteen days until Chiefs vs. Patriots. We’ll be there, and we have the utmost confidence that the real Patriots will be there too.

The Patriots suck. Get over it. They will not go 16-0. The Patriots will not make the playoffs. The Eagles will win the Superbowl.
