John Lynch visiting Patriots

Update: Patriots Sign Lynch

According to the Boston Globe, 9-time pro-bowler John Lynch may be joining the Patriots, after stints in Denver and Tampa Bay. The Broncos released Lynch on August 1st.

Tank You
After the New England Patriots lost safety Tank Williams for the year, there was a big hole at the safety position. Rodney Harrison, James Sanders, and Brandon Meriweather will all make the team, and John Lynch would provide another veteran to fill out the depth chart. While it is unclear whether Lynch would start or not, Lynch would probably play the linebacker/safety hybrid position with Harrison and Meriweather covering at safety.

John Lynch Mob
The former all-pro would just be the last in a parade of veterans wishing to finish their career with the Patriots. Doug Flutie, Junior Seau, Rodney Harrison are just a few of the latest to do so.

John Lynch would be a great addition to the Patriots — I’m not getting my hopes up though. Let’s hope he signs.

John Lynch visiting the Patriots is huge. Lynch would really give the Patriots depth at safety.
