2009 NBA Mock Draft

We're listed at DC Pro Sports NBA Mock Draft Database and Walter's NBA Mock Draft Database.

Projected order based on 2007-2008 records and trades.

Updated 6/23

1. LA Clippers: Blake Griffin, PF, Oklahoma
One word: Warrior.

2. Memphis Grizzlies: Hasheem Thabeet, C, UConn
Thabeet is not short.

3. OKC Thunder: James Harden, G/F, Arizona State
He plays basketball really well. OKC needs these type of guys.

4. Sacramento Kings: Ricky Rubio, PG, Spain
An absolute steal, although if I were Rubio, the Maloofs would freak me out.

5. Washington Wizards: Jordan Hill, PF, Arizona
6. Minnesota Timberwolves: Tyreke Evans, G, Memphis
7. Golden State Warriors: Johnny Flynn, PG, Syracuse
8. New York Knickerbockers: Steph Curry, G, Davidson

Good to see Tyler Smith go so high, even though he bailed on the Hawks.

I'm always intrigued by mock drafts that are done a year ahead of time. I just don't think I would know where to start, especially with the NBA where basically anybody could be the next prospect to come out early, and you just never know when a player is going to shine out like Derrick Rose did in the national tournament.

Well Done NBA Mock Draft. The 2009 NBA Draft should be pretty interesting, no slam dunk picks this year.

Tyreke Evans should go 1 in every NBA Mock Draft. He is the man.

BJ Mullens doesn't even start on his college team.
